Ludi Feroces (Fierce Games) is our annual school-wide field day consisting of competitions, entertainment, and a four-course meal. Students compete in their designated houses in a myriad of games from "pig wrestling" to "castle assault." The team with the most points is crowned the tournament victor and each member of that house receives a shirt commemorating their success to wear at later school events. In the midst of munching on bread and cheese, grapes and strawberries, rice and chicken drumsticks, and a graham cracker castle, students perform songs, dances, or scenes from play with their class grades. The day is a beloved Veritas tradition and adds to our school's unique culture and community.
