SUPPORTING VERITAS

It is the desire of Veritas to keep its tuition and other charges within the average family budget; this means that the amount paid for each student in tuition covers our basic program, but additional funds must be raised to expand and enhance the program. These funds must come from fundraisers and the generous tax-deductible donations of the family and friends of Veritas.

It goes without saying that first and foremost we covet your prayers for God’s protection and guidance. There are three main ways in which you can help Veritas in a tangible way: monetary donations, material donations, and supporting our fundraisers.

Monetary Donations
Veritas Christian Community School is a 501(C)-3, making most donations tax-deductible. Donations which qualify as tax-deductible are those that are not intended for the benefit of a specific student or family; donations intended for individuals are considered gifts rather than donations. Consult your personal tax advisor for confirmation regarding your donations and their deductibility.

The following are forms which monetary donations can take:

General Donations: These funds will be applied to the most pressing needs of the school as determined by the school board.

Designated Donations: You may designate a specific way in which you would like to see your donation used at Veritas. Suggested areas include but are not limited to: Sports, Library, Technology, Art, Science Lab, Music, Scholarship Assistance Fund, New Facility, etc.

Memorial Donations: Donations may be made in honor of special people or occasions in your life.

Securities Donations: Donations of securities such as stocks, bonds, mutual funds, etc. may be given to Veritas.

Material Donations
Land and, or property. We are sorely in need of more space so that we can offer the excellence of our program to more children.

Wish Lists for the school are posted here. If you would like to donate a specific item that our staff have asked for, please check out these lists and follow the instructions on the Wish List Donation Form.

We often receive generous donations from individuals of items for which they no longer have a use. We appreciate this greatly; however please contact the school office before bringing such donations to the school. We are very limited for space and can only accept those items for which we have an immediate use.

Fundraisers
Veritas conducts one major fundraiser per year, the Veritas Legacy Classic Golf Tournament. This event is held in May at the Turquoise Valley Golf and RV Resort. You do not have to be a golfer to take part in this fundraiser. To discover the many ways you may contribute to this event, please go to the Golf Tournament page. Our goal is to raise $20,000 for the upcoming school year.

Below are two programs supported by local and national merchants that require only an investment of 10-15 minutes of your time, but which add up to significant contributions to the school.

Target Take Charge of Education: For every purchase made using your Target credit card 1% will be donated to Veritas. You must designate Veritas as your school of choice for the donation. Please go to target.com, red cards, then Take Charge of Education.

EScrip is a hassle-free way for you to help us raise funds through everyday purchases made at eScrip merchants, all at no cost to you! EScrip and over 150 merchant partners have created a system that rewards customer loyalty by contributing a percentage of purchases to Veritas.

From time to time a particular class may hold a small fundraiser for a specific need such as a trip, uniforms, etc. These will be posted on our website along with instructions on how to help.
